Alene Peterson Osborne February 26, 2010

Alene Peterson Osborne, age 93, of Harrells, passed peacefully from this life on earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 26, 2010 from Golden Care Rest Home.

She was born November 29, 1916, in Duplin County; daughter of the late Walter White and Mattie Bland Peterson. She is also predeceased by her husband, Henry Biggs Osborne; sister, Thelma Bland and brothers, Herman Peterson and Lewis Bryant Peterson.

Mrs. Osborne was a life-long member of Wells Chapel Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Frank Osborne and wife, Adrienne and Jane Jenkins, all of Cherryville, Jimmy Osborne and wife,Dottie of Clinton, Wayne Osborne and wife, Faye of Harrells, Charles Cullen Osborne of Angier and Mary Sholar and husband, Keith of Wallace, sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and special nieces and nephew, Maxine, Iris and Billy.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Wells Chapel Baptist Church with the Reverend Stan Jenkins, the Reverend Eric Rich and the Reverend George Price officiating.

Burial will follow in Wells Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Greg Osborne, Chris Goss, Chad Osborne, Scott Jenkins, Chris Osborne, Michale Dale Johnson, Dusty Osborne, Colin Faulkner and Quentin Clark.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 pm Monday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Wallace.
