Rose Blanford Wolfe June 20, 2010

Rose Blanford Wolfe, age 49, of Atkinson died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born October 17, 1960 in Homestead, Florida and was the daughter of Clarence M. Blanford and Julia Rae Johnson Blanford Benson. Also remembered is her brother, Marvin R. Blanford.

Surviving are her son, Curtis Wolfe of Atkinson; step-son, Maurice V. “M.J.” Corbett, Jr. of the US Army, Germany; sisters, Linda A. Jones, Donna R. Blanford and Nancy James, all of Atkinson; brothers, Kim L. Blanford of Rocky Mount, Richard L. Blanford of Wilmington and Kelly W. Blanford of Atkinson; and many nieces and nephews.

Rose loved her family and was truly loved in return. One of the things in life she enjoyed most was working in her yard and garden. She loved the outdoors and all of God’s beautiful nature. Rose never met a stranger and it has been said she could make a post talk. Her joyful laughter, sunny smile and words of encouragement will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved Rose.

A private family memorial service and time of sharing memories will be held at a later date.
