Bruce Falls, Jr. Obituary

Bruce Thomas Falls Jr. passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Susan, his sister Jan, his two daughters Sharyn and Diana, and his five grandchildren: Nathan, Lauren, Juliette, Graham, and Zane.

Bruce was born in Grant’s Pass, Oregon in 1946 to Bruce and Donna Falls. A child of an Army Officer, Bruce lived and traveled around the world throughout his youth. Both personally and professionally, Bruce filled his life with activities that he loved. After studying at Auburn University and American University, Bruce was one of the first class of students to graduate with a degree in computer science. He worked for Control Data and then Network Systems Corporation in Washington, DC as a district sales manager before retiring in 2006 to River Landing in Wallace, North Carolina. Throughout his life, Bruce was a passionate Auburn football fan, a great card player, a competitive board game and video game player, and a lifelong lover of watching and playing golf. One of his proudest days was when he shot a hole-in-one on the fifth hole of the Landing Course at River Landing in 2009. Bruce loved to travel to visit family in Colorado, New York City, Belgium, and Italy, but his favorite place in the world was Hawaii, where he and Susan spent many happy trips exploring the islands. His family and friends will miss his signature, dry sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh, which he maintained and shared through his last days.

Bruce’s close family and friends will gather to celebrate his life in June.
