Amy Darlene Hale, 61, of Hampstead, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at home.

She was born on August 7, 1958 in Oak Hill, West Virginia.

Amy was a warm, loving, creative soul who loved to take art classes in the Wilmington area. Although as a family we are deeply saddened by her sudden passing we are also grateful that she got to live out her dream of retiring at the beach. Our wife, mother and grandmother will be sincerely missed by all.

Amy is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Hale; daughters, Jennifer Doyle and Michelle Mortensen (David); son, Brian Doyle; step son, Justin Hale (Brittney); step daughter, Jessica Thompson (Shawn); grandchildren, Briahna, Brooke, Brett, Jaxon, Taren, Ryder, Jackson, Ava and Max; sister, Lisa Barber (Brian) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce (Hurd) and Harry Edmonds; and her grandparents, Amos and Vergie Mae Hurd.

Memorial gifts may be made to ASPCA http://www.aspca.org/ in honor of Amy Darlene Hale.

A private memorial service will be held in Amy’s honor at a later date.
