Mrs. Elizabeth Brown Sellers, 94, of Wallace passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, January 7, 2019.
She was born on August 8, 1924 in Brevard, NC; the daughter of the late John and Callie Brown. She was predeceased by her husband Howell Sellers and three brothers, John Brown, Jr., Lawrence Brown and Dwight Brown.
Surviving are her three children, Judith Armentrout and husband Max of Boulder city, Nevada, Tom Sellers and wife Peggy of Wallace, NC and Beth Hartley of Cary, NC; two step-grandchildren, Lee Vose and Amy Bingham, and four step-greatgrandchildren.
Mrs. Sellers loved gardening and taking care of her pets. She and her husband were master gardener volunteers in Transylvania County for numerous years. She loved her Lord and took her children to church as well as taught them at home about the love of God. Elizabeth will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
There was a visitation held on Wednesday evening, January 9, 2019 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace, NC from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
A memorial service held at a later date.
Mrs. Sellers will be buried with her husband in the Western Carolina Veterans State Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
