Herbert Hanson Reaves, Jr., 84, of Rocky Point passed peacefully from his earthly life Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his home.
He was born June 26, 1934 in New Hanover County, the son of the late Herbert Hanson Reaves, Sr. and Marie White Reaves. Herbert was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Reaves and brother, Billy Reaves.

Herbert served his country honorably in the US Naval Reserves during the Korean Conflict. Working in the Newport News Naval Shipyard, Herbert began a long career working with metals.
