Jimmy Jones

Jimmy Jones, age 70, of Wallace left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Monday, December 24, 2018 from Vidant Greenville Medical Center. 

He was born on November 24, 1948 in Conway, SC to the late Curtis and Luvine Hodge Jones.  Jimmy was also predeceased by his brother, Johnny Jones and sister, Doris Elaine Jones.

He was a very faithful member of Wallace First Assembly of God.

Surviving is his son, Jamie Roderick and wife Beth of Alaska; grandchildren, Davis Roderick and Faith Roderick; sister, Bonnie Jones of Clinton; nieces, Sheila J. Cain and Melinda G. Jones, both of Clinton and numerous friends that loved Jimmy dearly.

Jimmy was a simple man who was loved and respected by all who knew him. He loved his family dearly, especially his son, Jamie.   Being a caring, generous man, Jimmy would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. To him, no one was a stranger. He enjoyed working at auctions, pouring coffee for friends at Shawn’s Restaurant and eating at Shawn’s, Hardees, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. He loved his truck.  Jimmy leaves behind many in his community-family, friends, neighbors, and a loving church family-blessed to have known him and been a part of his life.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with his pastor, Reverend Leo Bracken officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Friday at the funeral home.
