June Rose (Zell) Crabtree

June Rose Zell Crabtree of Wilmington, NC passed away on January 9, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Edward Martin Zell; her Mother, Ada Louise Lusby Crabtree; her Step-father, John Clarence Crabtree; her Grandmother, Bessie McGlincy; her Grandfather, Harry James Lusby; and her Husband, Floyd Clyde Crabtree.

June was born in Washington, DC on June 19, 1930. She moved to Wilmington in 1942 and attended Chestnut Street Elementary and New Hanover High. June worked for France Neckwear for over 30 years. She was a loving Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Friend.

June is survived by two Daughters: Ada Ward of Wilmington and Kim Price of Chapel Hill, NC; Grandsons: Ronnie, Mike and Daniel; Grandaughters: Amy, Kelly, Angie, and Sophie; Great-Grandsons: Zane and Brandon; Great-Grandaughters: Sarah and Taylor; Step-Grandsons: Freddy and Jose; Step-Grandaughter: Karen; Great-Step-Grandaughters, Tatiana and Tracy; Sister: Elizabeth Grace Crabtree Kimball; Nephew: John Edward Kimball of Midlothian, VA; a Very Special Cousin: Grace Korn of Lusby, MD; Very Special Friends: Betty Williams, Sandy Powell, Sherwood and Joanne Holland, and her neighbors at White Oak Apartments.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints: 514 S College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403 at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 12, 2019. Officiated by Bishop Brian Pace. The family will see friends the hour prior to the service.

There will be a family graveside service held at Prospect Cemetery on Military Cut-off Road.
