Melissa English Benton, age 48, of Watha, NC left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Monday, August 12, 2019.
She was born on January 20, 1971 in Fort Sills, OK and was the daughter of Virginia “Ginger” Padgett Spearman and husband, Joe of Mountain City, Tennessee and the late Robert English.
Surviving, in addition to her mother and step-father, are her husband of 13 years, James David Benton of the home; her sister, Jennifer Barnes and husband, Keith of Eden, NC; her nephew, Jonathan Rivenbark and wife, Jessica; 4-legged baby, “Gracie” and numerous special uncles, aunts and extended family that loved Melissa dearly.
Melissa was a loving wife who loved her husband with all her heart. She was a loving and caring young lady with unconditional love for family and friends. She loved her mother and all her dear family, but most of all, Melissa loved Jesus and today she is with Him for eternity. Melissa will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Melissa’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Watha Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church followed by a time of visitation.
