Terry Lynn Ferrell, a kind, gentle and loved lady has entered her eternal rest at the age of 41, which is way too soon. She was born in Charleston, SC, on July 14, 1978 and passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center after a courageous 12 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Terry is survived by her parents, Leroy and Betty Parker Ferrell; fiancé, Terry Lee Riddle; daughter, Alexis Thurston (Jesse Jordan) and their newborn daughter, Ivory Lynn Jordan; son, Thomas Thurston, Jr.; sister, Cindy Lynn Ferrell; special family friends, Mike and Patsy Tanner; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all who dearly loved Terry.
For 23 years Terry was a diligent worker as deli manager with Food Lion, working at a number of different grocery store locations in Pender and New Hanover Counties. Her last position being at NorthChase Food Lion. She was a member of Riley’s Creek Baptist Church.
Terry enjoyed the simplest things in life, but her greatest joy was family. She loved shopping, eating out, fishing, her Yorkie (Pepper); but her greatest joy was family. Terry was blessed with a love for the Lord and a faith that took her through an extended illness. Terry’s family is grateful to God for her life and for your thoughts and prayers.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw. Funeral service will be Friday 11:00 a.m. Riley’s Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Art Sauer conducting the service. Burial will follow in Riley’s Creek Memorial Cemetery.
