Faye Wooten, age 84, of Wilmington went to her heavenly home September 30, 2018.

She was born in Columbus Co, NC to the late Clarence and Walla Wilkins. They moved to the Wilmington area where Faye was raised and lived the rest of her life. She was a member of the Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church and was a faithful and steadfast Christian who would always pray for others before herself. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Family was the most important thing in her life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, James N. Wooten, Sr.

Left to remember her are son, James N Wooten Jr. and wife Katherine of Boiling Springs Lakes; brothers, Bill Wilkins and wife Bonnie of Florence, SC and Sam Wilkins of Columbia, SC; sisters, Marge Miles and husband Wilber of Florence, SC and Jera Meshaw of Wilmington, NC; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held 2:00PM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
