Harold McArthur born in Cumberland county, currently residing in Pender county, went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2017.

Harold was born June 1, 1948 to Otis and Freddy McArthur.

He married his wife Jeannie and they have been together for forty-five years. Harold was a member of Bear Branch Baptist Church and a veteran who served in the United States Army. He will always be remembered for the loving care he gave his grandchildren and church.

Harold is survived by his wife, Jeannie; daughters, Laura Mae Poirier (David) of Wilmington and Bonnie McArthur DeRonde (Matthew) of Wilmington; mother, Freddy McArthur; brothers, David, Wayne, Jerry, Danny, and Ashley; sisters, Joan, Betty, Patsy, Melva, and Judy; and grandchildren, Sophie, Isabel, and Kaylee.

Service will be 3PM Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Bear Branch Baptist Church; 3175 Blueberry Rd. Currie, NC 28435. Reverend Elbert Bradshaw and Reverend Doug Fairfax will officiate. Food will be provided after the memorial service in the Fellowship hall.
