Madeline Cruz Mays of Wilmington, NC passed away November 4, 2017.

She was born in Brooklyn to Felipe Cruz and Emma Garcia. They moved to Levittown where she grew up. Madeline became a born again Christian member of Living Waters Ministry. And was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family will always remember the family meals she made so special.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her great-grandson Remington Robert Crosby.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Mays; sons, Robert Wayne Mays (Sarah) of Wilmington and Ronald Mays (Lorraine) of Wilmington; daughters, Juanita Burriss (Thomas) of Wilmington and Linda Lohman (John) of Montague, MI; brother, David Cruz; grandchildren, Tonya Sanders (Kevin), Thomas Burriss III, James Burriss, Diana Eldridge (Brent), Katelynn Crosby (Matt), Dylan Lohman, Ashley Loney (Jay), and Kelly Lynch, three step-grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A service will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Living Waters Ministry in Ogden. Visitation following the service. Pastor Rick Crocker will officiate.

The family would like to make a special thanks to the exceptional staff of Cambridge Village of Wilmington, Pastor Rick Crocker, the Living Water Ministries, and the church family and friends that visited with Madeline.
