William Ivey Jones, age 64, of Wallace passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on September 15, 1954 in Pender County and was the son of the late Anthony Fields and Essie Stroud Jones. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Amy Jones Vandiver.

William is survived by his grandchildren, Cameron Vandiver and Caitlin Vandiver; his brother, Luby Jones and wife, Nora Wray of Burgaw; his sister, Charlotte Dixon and husband, Thomas of Penderlea and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends that loved William dearly.

William loved all his family, but he absolutely adored his granddaughters. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was fishing or just sitting outside in God's beautiful nature. William loved people and never met a stranger. with a keen sense of humor, William loved to make other's laugh and would laugh with them. He will surely be missed but treasure memories will forever remain with those who knew and loved William.

At William's request, there will be no services.
