Agnes Stasiak Day, age 90, of Burgaw died Monday, February 11, 2008 at Huntington Health Care of Burgaw.

She was born January 13, 1918 in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine Wojtysiak Stasiak. She was also predeceased by her son, David Bruce Day and daughter, Carol Ann Day Cobb.

Mrs. Day was a faithful member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church. Agnes was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who was always steadfast in her Christian beliefs. Her joy in life and peaceful spirit will not be forgotten.

Surviving are her beloved husband of sixty-eight years, John Bruce Day of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Arley A. and Dianne Day of Wilmington; grandchildren, Tara Day, Jon Cobb, Paul Cobb, Marc Cobb, and Merie Mirosavich; and four great grandchildren, Christina Cobb, Lillian Mirosavich, Bruce Cobb and Hudson Cobb.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, at Hopewell Presbyterian Church with The Rev. Ralph Evans officiating.

The family suggests that memorial gifts be given to Hopewell Presbyterian Church, C/O Betty Evans, 7195 US Hwy 117 N, Watha, NC 28478.
