Albert Gardner Anders, Jr., age 96, of Kelly passed from his earthly life Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

He was born July 3, 1926 in St. Augustine, Florida, the son of Albert Gardner Anders and Margaret Jones Owens. In addition to his parents Albert was preceded in death by his daughter, Pat Wigan; son, Albert G. Ander III; and grandson, Daniel James Royster.

Albert is survived by his daughter, Margaret A. Royster; sons, John Anders (Valerie) and Brian Anders; many grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Albert served honorably in the US Army Air Corps after which he went to work with CSX Railroad, working until retirement.

In years past, Albert not only enjoyed hunting, but made his own ammunition which was quite a feat. He loved having a garden and sharing his vegetables with friends and family. All of his long and blessed life Albert loved the Lord and loved his family.  Albert will truly be missed.

There will be a time of family gathering to share memories and commemorate Albert's wonderful life.
