Obituary

Alejandro Morin, 46, gained his wings and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 8, 2026, at Duke Hospice Family Pavilion in Durham, North Carolina, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born on November 2, 1979, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the late Marciano Morin and Isabel Ramirez Morin.

Alex was never defined by the battles he faced, but by the strength with which he fought them. Throughout his life, he faced challenges that tested his strength, yet he continued to push forward and keep moving. In March 2023, he proudly graduated from the FTCC Electrical Lineman Program and went on to work with Davey Resource Group, where he remained employed until his diagnosis in March 2026.

His battle with pancreatic cancer became his final fight—one he courageously fought until his very last breath. Though his life was far too short, his presence made an everlasting impact on everyone blessed to know and love him.

He is now free from pain, resting peacefully in the arms of God and watching over those he loved. We may never understand why God allowed his earthly journey to end so soon, but we trust that God’s plan is greater than what we can see. Although our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and has been called home to his eternal rest.

Alejandro is survived by his beloved wife, Angelica Morin; his mother, Isabel Ramirez Morin; his sons, Cameron Morin, Christopher Craft and his wife, Autumn, and Ethan Melton; his daughters, Brooklyn Morin and Lori Craft and her fiancé, Christopher Brotherton; his grandchildren, Maebry, Malik, Ariella, Tripp, and Hailey; his brother, Marciano Morin Jr.; his sisters, Crissy Sanchez (Ernie), Eliza Morin (Andrea), and Gloria Morin; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

In addition to his father, Alejandro was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Morin.

As we continue to grieve, we hold onto the promise that death is not the end for those who believe. We find comfort in knowing that, according to God’s promise, one day we will be reunited again.

Until then, we will carry your love in our hearts and cherish every memory we were blessed to share with you. Your life may have ended here on earth, but the love you gave and the memories you created will live on in all of us.

Rest peacefully in God’s loving arms, Alex. You will forever be loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

Celebration of Life for Alex will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
