Alice Maree Horrell Bonham, of Teachey, the daughter of the late Alvin J. and Fannie Tedder Horrell passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Wallace Rehab and Healthcare.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Earl Bonham; her son David Earl Bonham, Jr.; six sisters Mary Jane McArthur, Francis Smith, Betty Bloodworth, Vickie Miller, Ellis Jackie Horne, Shelby Castleberry; and two brothers, Bill Horrell and Alford Ray Horrell.

Ms. Alice is survived by her daughter Sherry Bonham Brown and husband David of Wallace; grandson Benjamin Bonham of Teachey; step grandson JP Brown and family of Lyman and step granddaughter Jessica Smith and family of Wallace; two sisters Brenda Pounds and husband Mike of Ivanhoe, Barbara Greene of Ivanhoe; one brother Elvin Horrell of Ivanhoe; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Ms. Alice was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who loved her family more than anything.  She was a simple lady who enjoyed the simplest things in life.  Being a hard worker, she helped her husband provide for their family.  Alice and Sherry had more than a mother-daughter relationship; they were best friends and did many things together.  With a kind heart and witty personality, Alice loved others and was loved in return.  She will surely be missed but treasured memories of her will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with Reverend Susan Brown officiating.
