Alice Love Byrd, age 83, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at New Hanover House in Wilmington, NC.

She was born on June 2, 1938 in Sampson County, NC to the late Shelly and Mildred Gurganious.

Alice was a member of Black River Presbyterian Church in Ivanhoe, NC.

Alice is survived by her son, Ray Dew and wife, Cindy; daughters, Toni Byrd and Mary Byrd Henderson and husband, Kent; sister, Barbara Schultz; grandchildren, Sean, Sara, Ryan, Caroline, Noelle, Casey, Kaylan, C.J., and Lewis; and great-grandchild, Karson.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Reid Byrd; son, Curtis Dew; sister, Millie Darroach and brother, Buck.
