Allen Ray Horrell, age 66, of Kelly died Sunday, August 30, 2009 at his residence.

He was born April 4, 1943 in Bladen County and was the son of the late John Allen Horrell and Fannie Taylor Horrell. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Jannie Horrell Webber and Ileene Horrell.

Surviving are his daughter, Margaret Horrell Akers of Ft Worth, Texas; twin sister, Fay H. Robinson of Kelly; several nieces, Donna Hall, Patsy Lewis, Ilene Merritt, Janice Norris and Julie Guy; and several great nieces and great nephews.

A graveside will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Smith Cemetery, NC Hwy 53 E, Kelly with Pastor Jim Woodruff officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of Ray's sister, Fay H. Robinson.

In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Ray may be given to Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, PO Box 1316, Burgaw NC 28425.
