Allen Curtis "Junior" Southerland, 55, of Wallace, pass from this earthly life to his eternal rest on September 30, 2012.

Born on September 9, 1957 in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of Dollie Miller Southerland of Wallace and the late Norman E. Southerland.

Surviving in addition to his loving mother are his special cousins, which includes Robert Milton "Gunner" McDaniel and Kathleen Volk, both of Hopewell, VA and numerous friends.

Junior was a loving and caring son who loved his mother dearly. Having a great sense of humor, he enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. His favorite pastime was watching NASCAR racing with his favorite driver #24 Jeff Gordon, Redskins football games and spending time with his canine friend, "Sparky". He loved his church family of Island Creek Baptist Church and especially his pastor and friend, Pastor Ronald Ginn. Junior will surely be missed but special memories will forever remain in the heart of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with Reverend Ronald Ginn and the Reverend Buster Price officiating.

Burial will follow in Little Creek Cemetery, Wallace.

Casketbearers will be Kenny Batchelor, Dave Bradshaw, Jimmy Casey, Terry Duff, Ronald Jones and Ronald Miller.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Tuesday, one hour prior the funeral service at the funeral home.
