Obituary

Alma Williams Stoddart, age 85, of Wallace died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at GlenCare Nursing Home.

She was born August 28, 1924 in Duplin County; the daughter of the late Harry Williams and Margie Futrell Williams Powell. She was also predeceased by her devoted husbnad of thirty years, Phillip George Stoddart and sisters, Louise Baker and Gladys Matthews.

Mrs. Stoddart was a member of Poston Baptist Church where she was very involved with the Deaf Ministry as long as her health permitted.

Surviving are children, Joseph Cottle of Nashville, Tennessee and Denise Cottle of Nekoosa, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Tina, Lauren, Samantha, Jennifer, Shannon, Sabrina and Sean; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was be 11:00 am Friday, February 5, 2010 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend Dustin Gillespie officiating.

Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Park.

The family received friends 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday, one hour prior the service at the funeral home.
