Alton Carner Rivenbark, age 79, of Wilmington passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016.

He was born May 23, 1937 in Wayne County the son of the late John Rivenbark and Ora Moore Rivenbark. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Lilly Mae Rivenbark, Hazel Ham, Alma Cashwell and Dell Rivenbark.

Alton was a self employed carpenter by trade and was a talented wood worker. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them any chance he got.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Toni Rivenbark, Johonna Wright and grandson, Preston Wright; sisters, Thelma Warrick and Helen Nunn and Brother, Jerry Rivenbark.

A graveside service will be announced as soon as it can be scheduled due to flooding at Wayne Memorial Park.
