Amber Brock Houston

Amber Brock Houston, age 49, gained her angel wings on Monday, August 24, 2026 and is now in Heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was born in Sampson County; the loving daughter of Janet Paige Lanier of Willard and the late Larry Wayne Brock. Amber is also preceded in death by her grandparents Edward Paige, Albert Brock and Gladys Brock and her stepfather Ray Lanier.

Amber was a Registered Nurse  and was very special  to each of her patients as they were to her. 

Surviving in addition to her mother, is her husband Jeffrey Ray Houston of Willard; her son and light of her life Christopher Justin Pierce and his friend Carlie Drew of Wallace; grandchildren Hunter Brock Pierce and Walker James Pierce; grandmother Barbara Paige of Willard; brother Donovan Brock and wife Stephanie of Clinton; nephews Noah Brock and Connor Brock; niece Laynie Brock; Aunt Lisa Michelle English and her family; her canine companion “Levi” and her feline furry friend “LeeRoy”, along with numerous extended family and friends that loved Amber dearly.

Amber was a loving, energetic young lady who loved life to the fullest. She loved her family with all her heart and was always there for each of them. She was a devoted wife to Jeffery and a loving mother to Justin and nothing or no one was more important to her. She was a people’s person who would go out of her way to make sure everyone else was ok. Amber never met a stranger and had more friends than most because of her sincere love for others. She was “an instrument of God’s love on this earth.” Amber enjoyed Christmas and Halloween, along with frogs and her grandbabies. She enjoyed going to the river whether she was swimming, boating or just relaxing. She was a friend to all, a strong yet gentle and loving presence to all who were blessed to know her. She looked for and encouraged the best in everyone that she knew. Amber will surely be missed but she will never be forgotten.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Watha Christian Church Family with Reverend John Federonko officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.

Casketbearers will be Dustin Watkins, Chris Watkins, Charles Smith, Chris Price, Chris Jones, Jason Kerr, Jason Fussell, Brian Utter, Dustin Ward and Darian Moore.
