Andrea "Andy" York Pickett, age 68, of Rocky Point passed from her earthly life to her eternal; rest on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the home of her son, David, in McLeansville, NC.

She was born March 20, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Thomas Andrew York and Annie Crutchfield York Williams. Also Andy is preceded in death by a brother, Ricky York.

Andy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Donnie Ray Pickett; children, David Kilby (Dawn), Denise Kilby, Johnathan Kilby (Peggy), Donnie Ray Pickett, Jr. (Amorie), and Shauna; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Linda "Peanut" Pickett (Earl), Betty Nelson and Nancy Hatfield; brother, Steve York (Patsy); and numerous extended family and friends.

Andy was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and loved spending time reading her Bible.

She loved her family and showed her love in her own special way. One of her favorite pastimes was fishing, which she and Donnie enjoyed frequently in past years. Andy had a wonderful sense of humor and a bright, beautiful smile. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw. Following the visitation a graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Bonham Family Cemetery, Apple Blossom Lane off of NC Hwy 210, in Rocky Point with the Rev. Arnold Griffin officiating.
