Andrew (Andy) Donald Mulé, age 88, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

He was born on August 25, 1935 in Nassau County, NY to the late Andrew Mulé and Margaret Ruisi Mulé.

Andy, a U.S. Army veteran, was a former lifeguard at Jones Beach State Park in Nassau County, NY. He sold advertising for Newsday newspaper in Long Island, NY for thirty plus years before moving to Wilmington in 1997. Andy enjoyed golfing and loved swimming and going to the beach. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. Andy was a bright light to many, and he will be dearly missed.

Andy is survived by his wife, Judy Mulé; son, Brett Mulé (Karin); grandchildren, Olivia Mulé, Ava Mulé, and Ella Mulé; nephew, Jeffrey Brandes; and nieces, Dale Corcoran and Tori Pagani.

In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by sister, Grace Corcoran; and nephew, Andrew Corcoran.

A visitation will be held at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington on Tuesday, May 28 between 6pm and 8pm. A funeral service will be held at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 11am with Pastor David Knowles officiating. Following the service, burial will take place at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC with the U.S. Army performing military honors.
