Ann Wood Allen, age 65, of Lilburn, Georgia passed away Monday, November 30, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Allen, Retired MSGT US Army and father, Samuel Harrison Wood.

Ann is survived by her sons, Brett Harrison Allen and his wife, Melissa, of Snellville, Georgia and Steven Douglas Allen of Loganville, Georgia; mother, Lucy Abram Wood of Watha ; grandchildren, Dustan, Nathan and Logan; sisters and brother-in-law, Sandra Elaine Wood and Charlie Williams of Wilmington and Theresa Wood Shew of Raleigh; brothers-in-law, Ed and Bonnie Allen of Raleigh, George Allen of Wilmington, Johnny and Judy Allen of Easley; sisters-in-law, Janet and Pal Padrick of Hampstead, and Shirley Willetts of Wilmington; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Allen was a dedicated and devoted employee at Bellsouth/ AT&T for over 30+ years, as a project manager. She loved to sew and cook. Ann was a very loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 3 at 10 am at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. Scott Allen officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home in Georgia.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12noon until 2pm, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw with graveside services at Eakins Cemetery at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, in memory of Ann Wood Allen.
