Anna Allene (Jones) Hunter, 76, of Wallace, daughter of Luby and Emma D. Parker Jones, passed away peacefully at Pender Memorial Nursing Facility on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012.

Born August 26, 1935, in Duplin County,
Anna devoted her life to her family. Her favorite past times included painting, crocheting, needlepoint and crafts with her daughter Suzy.

Widow to the late Robert R. Hunter, to whom she was married fifty-four years, she is survived by her sons; Gene Hunter and wife, Amy of Montclair, VA., Tommy Hunter and wife, Lisa of Heidelberg, Germany, Danny Hunter of Wallace, Suzy Hunter of the home; sister Mary Angaleeter (Jones) Heath; grandchildren; Rachel Emrath and husband, Nick, Sarah Richter and husband, Kris, Allen Hunter and wife, Anna; Ryan Hunter; Courtney Carroll and great grandchildren, Ethan, Brian, Nicholas, Georgia, Lydia, Mallory and Arwen.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her daughters, Wanda Joyce and Cheryl Ann Hunter and her brother, Ellis Jones.

Memorial Service was held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Pender Memorial Hospital in the cafeteria.
