Anna Marie Stempkowski, 95, of Wilmington, formerly of Ambridge, PA passed peacefully from her earthly life on July 12, 2023. She was born in Fair Oaks, PA on May 7, 1928, to Danko and Olga Panchak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley "Buzz" Stempkowski and grandson, Mark Alan Hanna.

She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Ann Drenner and son in law Sid Drenner of Wrightsboro; grandchildren, Carrie Ann Hanna-Heath and Eric Lee Drenner and wife Lora; great grandchildren, Megan Rooper, Morgan Rooper, Dylan Heath, Dalton Heath, Lainey Hanna, Riley Hanna, Kailey Hanna, Hunter Drenner and Cydney Drenner; and great-great grandchildren, Owen and Tinsley Heath.

While a teen during WWII Anna would frequent the local soda shop in her town where the barber shop next door had pictures of the local young men that had gone off to war. There she fell in love with a picture of a handsome Army infantryman, that she would stop and look at every day, later to meet him at a dance once the war ended where they shared a dance and were never apart from each other from that day forward for 51 years until his death in 1998. Anna was the best homemaker, wife, and grandmother that any family could have asked for. And cook… she was the best. She was an avid thrift shopper that made her way around the local shops every day and we all looked forward to all the goodies she would acquire to bestow upon us. She always thought of everyone and made you feel completely at home in her presence. She and grandpa spent their years together Polka dancing and fishing. She was the life of everything she did and her presence on this earth will be greatly missed but we are so excited for their reunion in Heaven.

Anna will return to be laid to rest with her beloved Stanley at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester, PA.
