Obituary

Anthony Lee "Buck" Hardison, 50 of Garland, left this earthly life on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

He was born August 11, 1965 in Duplin County and was born to Arthur Jackson "A.J." Hardison, Jr. and JosephElaine Mobley McDowell.

Anthony is survived by his loving children, Anthony "B.J." Hardison, Jr. and wife, Samantha of Willard, Stephanie Hairr and husband, Justin of Rose Hill and Samuel Hardison of Wallace; grandchildren, James Hardison, Alyssa Hardison, Allison Hairr, Rebecca "Becky" Hairr and Alivia Hairr; his parents, Arthur Jackson "A.J." Hardison, Jr and Dorothy Savage Hardison of Wallace; brothers, John Worley of Red Springs, Bobby "Blue" Worley of Bridgeton, Dale Sandlin of Beulaville and Tracy Hardison and Craig Hardison, both of Wallace; sister, Mattie Hardison and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

"Buck", as he was affectionately called, was a loving father and caring son, brother and friend. He found great joy in the simplest of things, but his greatest joy was family. Buck loved to cook, share food and recipes with his family and friends. A man with a big heart, he would give the shirt off his back and help them put it on. Buck enjoyed watching and retelling documentaries to his children. He loved his children; especially his grandchildren and was always there for them. Buck will surely be missed but cherish memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, March 26, 2016 beginning at 12:00 Noon at Buck's home in Garland. The family invites family and friends to come and bring a covered dish to help celebrate Buck's life. For directions, please call B.J. or Stephanie.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be sent to Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, PO Box 339, Wallace, NC 28466 to help with Buck's funeral expenses.
