Obituary

Ashleigh Jordann Dale, age 30 years, beloved, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and loyal friend, left us way too soon. Her passing left many with broken hearts.

Jordann was born December 22, 1993 and passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 3, 2024.

Jordann is survived by her son, her world, Ameare Isaiah McDuffie; her father, Matthew Dale; her mother, Angy Willetts; brothers, Joshua Dale, Jakob Sorensen and Landon Dale; grandparents, Jake and Gwen Willetts and Gary and Peggy Dale and many extended family members and friends.

At a young age, Jordann showed interest in reading and learning and her ability to do puzzles was impressive.

She started dancing at two and continued for 9 years at Performing Arts in Burgaw. As soon as she was of age, she started playing ball which she played until aging out. Playing Recreational Ball with Burgaw Dixie Youth where she went several years to Allstars. She played year round, including one season with the Carolina Flames.

While attending Cape Fear Middle, she received the Triathlete Award for softball, volleyball, where she was captain for a year and cheerleading.

Jordann entered Trask High School studying in advanced classes as well as drama and cooking. She excelled in drama however, cooking could've used a few more classes. Jordann continued her love of ball during her last years of school, graduating in 2012.

She enjoyed country life where fishing with her favorite Uncle, Mark, was sometimes competitive. She was known to catch a snake or two and liked target practicing with her brothers.

But her greatest love of all was her son, Ameare. They shared countless hours of smiles and laughs that showed just how much they adored each other. From teaching him to ride a bike, jumping on a pogo stick and the basics of ball to playing games and puzzles, they were inseparable. His quick wit, humor, enjoyment of reading and learning, are a legacy of her.

With her sweet soul mixed with a little sassy, she made the perfect daughter and although she will be greatly missed, Jordann, will never be forgotten.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
