Barbara Vaughn Carpenter, 78, of Wilmington, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at home.

She was born on August 7, 1946, in Kingsport, Tennessee, to the late Robert and Mildred (McKenzie) Vaughn.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert Wesley Carpenter; her sons, Scott Carpenter, Chris Carpenter; her brother, Ronald Vaughn and wife, Patsy; her sisters, Linda Worley and husband, Mark, Eileen Benton and companion, Kelly Blake; her grandchildren, Cole Major, Wesley Carpenter, Kristen Carpenter; and a host of other family and friends.
