Barbara Ann (O'Donovan) DiCello,79, of Wilmington, passed away June 27, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 12, 1938, to the late Charles Regis O'Donovan, Jr. and Jane Esther (Sharer) O'Donovan.

Barbara married Louis Jerome DiCello in 1963 in San Mateo, California. She was Catholic, was one of the first women to be awarded a National Merit Scholarship (1956), and worked as a real estate secretary. Barbara moved with her children to Wilmington in 1980. She will be remembered as a wonderfully loving mother, grandmother, pet owner and avid gardener.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Jerome DiCello (1967); sister, Nancy Jane Jellison; and brother, Charles Regis O'Donovan III. Left to remember Barbara are two sons, Louis Matthew DiCello of Glen Allen, Virginia, Vincent Jerome DiCello of Drummonds, TN; her daughter, Suzanne Louise DiCello of Wilmington; one brother, Raymond James O'Donovan; grandchildren Megan Elyse, Aedan Jameson, Cayleigh Marie, Matthew, Jackson, Brandie Elizabeth; great-granddaughter, Sky Rose; and a host of other family and friends, several of whom called her Mom.

The family will have a private interment at Union Dale Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA
