Barbara Woodcock Holmes, 79, of Burgaw on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 went home to join the angels and her beloved husband, Richard J. Holmes, who died in 2006.

She was born January 20, 1935 in Richmond, VA, the daughter of the late Clyde Leon and Irona Nelson Woodcock.

Barbara was a devoted wife and loving mama, grandmamma, great grandmamma, sister and friend. She was a beacon of love, light and kindness to all who crossed her path. Her greatest joy was her family; she gave her all raising her children and loving her grandchildren. Barbara always had a smile on her face, a helping hand stretched out, and a heart ready to show the love of Christ within her. Her memory is blessed and she will be greatly missed.
