Barbara Horrell Lewis, 56, of Willard passed gently from her earthly life Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at her home with her loving family.

She was born November 18, 1964 in Wilmington, the daughter of Harvey Henry Horrell, Sr. and Lillie Grace Merritt Horrell. In addition to her parents Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Mintz.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, William Earl Lewis; sons Wesley Lewis (Casey) and Andrew Lewis (Rachel); granddaughter, Skylar Mae Lewis; brother, Buck Horrell; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

As a youth Barbara attended Wells Chapel Baptist Church. Many will remember Barbara as manager of Food Lion Deli in Burgaw.                     .

Barbara's pleasures in life were growing flowers and using her culinary skills in baking. She had a special place in her heart for children and animals. Being totally unselfish, Barbara would always give instead of wanting to receive. With her amazing personality she made friends easily and never met a stranger. Most of all in her life Barbara loved and cared for her beloved family.

A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Riverview Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. Merrell McKoy will conduct the service.
