Barry Lindsey Boswell, age 67, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.

He was born on November 14, 1955, in Cheverly, Maryland to the late Myrtle Gene Foster Mullins.

Barry was happy, boisterous, fun loving, goofy, caring, generous, and hard working. His life had many seasons and through all of them, his  passion and attention to detail showed through. These seasons included many twists, turns, ups, and downs. His young days: managing the Ihop, disco dancing like John Travolta, camping in his van, cheating death on his Motorcycle, and loving Rosanne. His early married with kids days: selling everything, quitting a high paying corporate job to move his family to the beach to live the vacation life as a husband, father and entrepreneur. In his later years: his entrepreneurship, propensity to fix anything, create ideas from scratch, and "MacGyver" everything did not fade; it blossomed. During his last days: he continued to run his successful business and concoct contraptions of all kinds to allow himself to continue to function right up to the end of his journey with ALS. Barry was who he was through and through, from beginning to end, and will be missed by all.

Surviving to cherish Barry's memory is his best friend and loving wife, Rosanne Boswell; his children, Barry Boswell Jr. and wife, Andreea, and Julia Gene Harrelson and husband Derrick; grandchildren; Isabella, Bryce, James, Reece, Leo, Ryleigh, Pyper, and Danni; brother, Larry Boswell and wife, Pam; sister, Peggy Bentley and husband, Steve.

In addition to his mother, Barry was also preceded in death by his sisters, Mona Jean Tucker and Sandi Griggs; brothers, Harry Boswell and Gervis Mullins; sister-in-law, Glenda Boswell.

A funeral service will be held at Park Avenue Baptist Church in Wilmington on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 12:30 PM with Pastor David Robinette officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association www.als.org.
