Beatriz Edith Sandoval Penley, 89, passed peacefully from her earthly life Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Wilmington surrounded with love and family.

She was one of five children born to Alejo Sandoval and Dolores Villavicencio de Sandoval on April 13, 1937 in Mexico.

Beatriz is survived by her sons, Rodrick Penley and Richard Penley and his wife, Amy; grandchildren, Andrew Penley, Matthew Penley, Rylan Penley, and Jodi Howell; great grandchildren, Millie Blake Penley and Austin James Penley; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members all who loved Beatriz.
