Obituary

A precious gift from God, Ben Glenn Littleton, age 80, loving daddy, granddaddy, and brother passed peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening, November 2, 2022 surrounded with love by family.

He was born May 2, 1942 in Craven County, the son of Ben Banks Littleton and Sarah Frances Cavanaugh Littleton. In addition to his parents Ben was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Littleton.

Ben is survived by his children, Randall Littleton (Margie), Cyndi Anderson, Tammy Barnes (Tim), and Glynda Holmes (Donnie); eight grandchildren, Wayne Barnes, Suzanne Price (Daniel), Brittney Watson (Phillip), Nicholas Barnes, Kristina Littleton, Nicole Navas (Ozzy), Garrett Anderson and Jamie Littleton; fourteen great grandchildren; brother, Raymond Littleton (Martha); many extended family members and friends. Not to be forgotten are Ben's gran-puppies, June and Cash.

After many years working at Stanley Tools in New Bern, Ben went into sales where he had a successful manufactured homes business for many years.

Ben was known as a loving daddy and compassionate, generous man. He has been known to literally give the coat off of his back to someone in need. Family was always first in Ben's life, never considering his own needs or desires.

He loved to play poker and was a very proficient player. There is no doubt in our minds that he is in heaven teaching all the angels how to play the game.

Ben was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed by his loving family, but forever will remain in their hearts.

The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Randy Little will conduct the service.

Ben will be laid to rest in Greenleaf Memorial Park in New Bern.

A special thank you to the efficient, compassionate and caring staffs at Pender Memorial Hospital and Lower Cape Fear LifeCare for their loving care of our daddy and for the support given to us, Ben's family.
