Benjamin "Bubba" David Gallop, 52, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life on Friday, October 25, 2013 in Pender County while doing one of the things he enjoyed most... hunting.

He was born April 6, 1961 in Macon, GA, the son of Benjamin J. and Mary Anderson Gallop of Burgaw. In addition to his parents Bubba is survived by his sister, Jennifer DeLacerda (Michael); his fiancée, Elaine Phillips, her children, Karen Bowers and Glenn Hacker and her grandchildren, Paige, Cameron, Alexis and Nathanial; nieces and nephews, Alicia Wells (Kevin), Candace Smith, Amanda White (Corey Pigford), Blake DeLacerda (Amanda Norris) and Kevin Perron; great nieces and nephews, Austin, Tori, Tana, Ashton, Tristan, Braxton, Jayden, Lillyanna, Hunter and one more due in April; and a large loving extended family.

Lovingly remembered are Bubba's siblings, Victoria Gallop Porter and Jarvis Gallop, both who preceded him in death.

Bubba was a joy to know and love as family and friends adored him. In turn, he loved his family above all else. Bubba was blessed with a God given talent and love of music. He was amazing as he played the piano and guitar and sang as well. Favorite pastimes of Bubba were being outdoors in God's beautiful world hunting and fishing. Bubba was compassionate, loving and faithful; he leaves many happy memories for family and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Nathan Morton officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. Casketbearers will be Kevin Wells, Michael DeLacerda, Blake DeLacerda, Richard Moore, Alex Matthews, and Jimmy Collins. Honorary bearer will be Ray Gurganious.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel.
