Benjamin ("Benjy") Bryon Floyd, age 57 of Riegelwood, was called home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2022 at his home.

Benjy was born on August 11,1964 in Wilmington, NC to the late Ben Nance Floyd and Dovie Jean Blackwell of Riegelwood.

Benjy was a laid back and easy-going guy. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, racing, football, baseball, basketball, music, playing the guitar and fixing anything he could get his hands on. On Sundays you could find him watching a sports event with something warm to eat he made in the kitchen. He was a handy man at heart and loved his job. His children meant the world to him whom he loved very much.

Benjy is survived by his daughters, Hillary Floyd and Haley Floyd, of Wilmington; sister Pam Sellers and husband, Ken, of Whiteville; brother Jeffrey Floyd of Kenansville; and brother Kris Floyd and wife, Donna, of Hampstead; nephews and nieces, Ryan Sellers, Victoria Sellers, Jacob Floyd, and Jordan Floyd.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington with Reverend Don Horn officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
