Obituary

Benjamin Franklin Hobbs, Jr., age 88, of Warsaw, North Carolina passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

He was born on May 5, 1938, to the late Benjamin Franklin and Cleo Spell Hobbs and was also preceded in death by his brother Keith Hobbs.

Mr. Hobbs proudly served his country in United States Marine Corps and was a member of Warsaw Methodist Church.

Benny graduated from Warsaw High School and continued his education at UNC Chapel Hill.  After completing his undergraduate degree Benny enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and once he completed his service he continued his education with a law degree.  He was the owner and operator of a real estate rental business where he met numerous people and acquired many friends throughout the years. Benny was not a TV fan; in fact, he did not have one in his house. His time was mostly spent reading and taking care of his clients and real estate business. Being an avid sports fan, he enjoyed attending James Kenan High School football games and UNC Chapel Hill football and basketball games. Benny will surely be missed and never forgotten.

No services are planned at this time.
