Bernadette "Bee" Thomasson, age 63, of Wilmington, NC/Formerly of Culpeper, VA, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021.

She was born on November 6, 1957 in Hudson, NY to the late William Joseph LoPorto and Mary Cecilia Bourgeois LoPorto.

Bee liked to crochet and she also enjoyed spending time with her family. Before moving to Wilmington, she attended Mountain View Community Church in Culpeper, VA. Bee could always make people laugh with her quirky sense of humor. She was a bright light to many people and will be dearly missed.

Bee is survived by her son, Edgar "Eddie" Thomasson and wife, Tamika; daughters, Amanda Rue and husband, Elliot, Emmily Brown and husband, Seth, and Lacey Thomasson; brother, Joseph LoPorto and wife, Michelle; sisters, Anna Papa and husband, Frankie, and Christina Culbertson; grandchildren, Malcolm, Jessica, Tia, Desiree, Michael, Joey, Hunter, Allison, Zach, Landen, Gwen, and Reese; five great-grandchildren; and BFF, Cindy Griffin.

Bee was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Thomasson; and sister, Terri Vigotti.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Amanda Rue's house, 5007 Clear Run Drive in Wilmington, on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at noon.
