Bernice Dail Henderson, age 92, of Franklinville and formerly of Pin Hook died Monday, February 7, 2011 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro.

She was born January 18, 1919 in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late Sinie Dail Casteen. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Elbert Henderson; son, Allen Henderson; daughter, Janice Cotner; grandson, Douglas Henderson; granddaughter, Teresa Staton and siblings, Letha Cavenaugh, Libby Dail, Lilly Henderson, Elwood Casteen, Mazie Ozment and Nelma Gray.

She was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Holiness Church where she faithfully attended while living in Pin Hook.

She is survived by her loving children, Harlean Millikan and husband, Donald of Franklinville, Elvin Ray Henderson of Randleman and Ronnie Henderson and wife, Bonnie of Pleasant Garden; grandchildren, Kay Goodson and husband, Mark, Debbie Blakeley and husband, Freddy, Robin Bulla and husband, Marty, Donald Ray Millikan, Yvonne Goins and husband, Harvey, Ryan Cotner and wife, Sonia, Rhonda Gray and husband, Eric, Mary Beth Howell and husband, Michael and Anne Staley and husband, Chris; 14 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Stella Lloyd of Wallace; brothers, S.D. Casteen of Wallace and Garland Casteen and wife, Mary of Ramseur; brother-in-law, Bill Henderson of Pleasant Garden and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bernice was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and sister. She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was family. She was a special lady who will be truly missed but warm memories will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be at 6:00 pm Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend John Gordon Wilson and the Reverend Samuel Swinson officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the funeral service at the funeral home until 9:00 pm and other times at the residence of Lenon Elston.

Graveside funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Henderson Cemetery in Pin Hook.

Casketbearers will be Brian Bulla, Nick Woodruff, Shane Kindley, Michael Howell, Harvey Goins and Zachary Goins.
