Bert Walden, 44 of Wilmington passed away August 1, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his father E. G. Walden, Jr. and his step father Harry Jeans.

Bert owned and operated with his brother an online supplement business called Underground Supps and was a personal trainer at Gold's Gym on Racine Drive. Bert was former owner of Walden's 24 hour Gym. He competed in many body building competitions and won numerous placings including the NPC Carolina State Super Heavy Weight Title in 2011, 2012 and 2013. The "Gentle Giant" will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Morvil Walden, who was his best friend, son Bailey Walden, his pride and joy, devoted mom Janie Jeans, cherished brother Brent Walden, and a host of friends and customers in the body building community.

Memorial service will be 12 Noon, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Ogden Baptist Church, 7121 Market Street, Wilmington NC 28411 where the family will receive friends from 11-12.
