Bessie "Dollie" Jarmon Henderson, 80, of Currie passed gently from her earthly life to her eternal rest on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Huntington Health Care.

She was born May 8, 1933 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Edward D. and Bessie Walker Williams. Also remembered is her husband, Lindbergh Jarmon. After the death of Lindbergh, Dollie married Norman Henderson who also preceded her in death as well as a great grandson, Jayden Jarmon.

Dollie is survived by her sons, Joseph R. Jarmon (Teresa), James A. Jarmon (Dawn), J. Steve Jarmon (Shirley), Jerry L. Jarmon (Cheryl); daughter, Sheila Dibibar (Dana); grandchildren, Shannon Sotelo, Aaron Jarmon, Richard Henderson and Hunter Henderson; great granddaughter, Bethany Sotelo; sister, Mary Lily Johnson; and many extended family.

Dollie was truly a joy to know. She always looked on the bright side of everything and found the good in everybody. Her hands were rarely idle as she was a diligent worker and always found something to do. Dollie was a wonderful mom, grandmother, sister and friend. Her joyful spirit, her love of family and her gentle laughter will be truly missed and lovingly remembered.

Graveside funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at Riverview Memorial Park with The Rev. Dean Walker officiating. The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Burgaw.
