Betsy Leary Lindsay, 56, of Burgaw passed from her earthly life Thursday, July 4, 2013 at her home.

She was born January 14, 1957 in Burgaw and was the daughter of Ernest and Betty Moore Leary of Burgaw.

In addition to her parents Betsy is survived by her husband, David W. Lindsay; sisters, Janice Reynolds (Steve) of Newport News, VA and Amy Coker (Steve) of South Korea; brother, Jason Leary of Burgaw; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betsy was retired after working 30 years with the NC Department of Transportation.

Betsy was a joy to know, always with a warm smile and feisty sense of humor that could brighten any rainy day. She loved her family and leaves a legacy of kindness, hope and faith in her Lord.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. William Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service. At other times the family will be at the home of Ernest and Betty Leary
