Betty Carol Reaves Faircloth, age 77, of Germanton, NC, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon September 8, 2024, at her home with her loving family at her side.

She was born July 16, 1947,  in Wilmington, NC, to Pender Earl and Ruby Woodcock Reaves. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Reaves.

Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Lonnie Winston "LW" Faircloth, Jr.; her children, Jeffrey (Susanne), Kevin, and Angel (Fraser) Hill; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Gail Reaves Chaney (Dennis); many extended family members and friends.

For many years Betty dedicated her life to caring for others as a CNA at Forsyth Hospital. She also served as the secretary for her family's business, Faircloth Welding.

A woman of strong faith, Betty cherished singing Gospel songs with her family's band. She loved to shop and enjoyed life's simple pleasures, like an ice-cold Coca-Cola. Betty will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion as a wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Johnny McNeill will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Woodcock Cemetery.
