Betty Smith Henchenski, 77, of Rocky Point was granted her angel wings on Wednesday evening, May 1, 2013 at her home.

She was born February 14, 1936 in Lincoln County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Clarence Ross Smith and Octa Lucille Reed Smith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Peter Henchenski.

Betty is survived by her children, Aline Poreba of Rocky Point, Sherry Henchenski of Hazelton, PA, John P. Henchenski, Jr., of Rocky Point, Robert Henchenski (Gail) of Laporte, CO, Jodi Williamson (Brian) of Wallace; and Thomas Henchenski (Cindy) of Zion Grove, PA; 20 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Marcia Wray (Larry) and Joyce Wallace; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Betty loved her family dearly and was the BEST mother, grandmother, sister and friend anyone could ask for. She created a home filled with love, laughter, and sunshine for her children to grow up in. Her radiant smile, her giving spirit, and the life she lived reflected her Christian values and her extraordinary faith. Cherished memories of Betty will remain in our hearts.

A family luncheon will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 04, 2013 at the Henchenski home.
