Jun 15, 1971 — Feb 25, 2014
Bob Scott Cavenaugh, age 42, of Wallace left this earth for his eternal rest on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
He was born on June 15, 1971 in Duplin County and was the son of Bobby and Shirley Brock Cavenaugh of Wallace. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James J. Cavenaugh and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin E. Brock.
Surviving to cherish his memories in addition to his loving parents is his brother, Tommy Dural Cavenaugh of Wallace; nephew, James Lee Cavenaugh; niece, Kayla Raynor and numerous family and friends who loved Scott dearly.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Northeast Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Samuel Sumner officiating.
Scott was a devoted son and brother, uncle and friend. He loved people and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Scott had been employed with Wallace Police Department, Duplin County Sheriff Department and was a Resource Officer at Warsaw Middle School as long as his health permitted. Being an avid wrestler fan, he enjoyed watching wrestling on TV but also going to live wrestling matches. He leaves behind many in his community-family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and many who were blessed to have known him and been a part of his life. Scott will surely be missed but precious memories of him will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
