Obituary

Bobby Grey Brown, 82, of Magnolia passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Brian Center of Wallace.

He was born on January 23, 1938 in New Hanover County; the son of Sallie Elizabeth Spell Brown of Magnolia and the late Otis David Brown.  Bobby was also predeceased by his brothers, Preston Brown, Roy Brown, Willis Brown and Derald Brown; and sisters, Inez Chestnutt, Doris Chestnutt, Eleanor Wallace, Louise Snavley, Jessie Ruth Lanier, Sarah Carr, Yvonne Brown, Sallie Retha Brown and Alice Brown.

Bobby is survived by his best friend and wife of sixty-one years, Mary Lovette Brown; son, Otis Grey Brown; daughter, Kimberly B. English and husband, Frankie of Magnolia; grandchildren, Joshua David English and Justin Franklin English; step-grandchildren, Bradley English and Brandon English; great grandchildren, Haley English, Connor English and Logan English and numerous extended family and friends that knew and loved Bobby.

Bobby was a devoted husband and loving father, brother and uncle.  He found great joy in the simplest of things, but his greatest joy was family.  Bobby loved farming and spending time in God's beautiful outdoors.  He leaves behind many in his community - family, friends and neighbors that were blessed to have known him and been a part of his life.  Bobby will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm,  on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Dobson Chapel Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, immediately following the visitation, on Wednesday at Dobson Chapel Baptist Church with the Reverend Jimmy Johnson, Pastor David Willis and Pastor David Grady officiating.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Golden Grove Cemetery in Kenansville.

Memorial gifts may be given to Dobson Chapel Baptist Church, 1473 NC Hwy 50, Magnolia, NC  28453.
